Lakeridge Pacers Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Newberg
Lakeridge Pacers snatched the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over Newberg on Thursday. The game was tied at four with Lakeridge batting in the bottom of the sixth when Hunter Paulson singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.
Lakeridge captured the lead in the first inning. Trent Allen doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.
Newberg evened things up at four in the top of the fourth inning when J. Kuntz singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
John Taylor got the win for the Pacers. He allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out one and walking zero.
Kuntz took the loss for Newberg. He surrendered five runs on five hits over six innings, striking out six.
Chris Simons started the game for Lakeridge. He lasted five innings, allowing three hits and four runs while striking out eight.
