Lakeridge Pacers Varsity Can’t Catch Up To Tigard
Lakeridge fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 3-0 loss to Tigard on Friday. Tigard scored on a single by O’Donnell and a fielder’s choice by Cavalli in the second inning.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Tigard pitchers struck out seven, while Lakeridge Pacers Varsity sat down three.
In the second inning, Tigard got their offense started when O’Donnell singled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.
A single by Casey Smith in the second inning was a positive for Lakeridge Pacers Varsity.
Geckman was the winning pitcher for Tigard. He allowed five hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out seven.
Tyler Sloan took the loss for Lakeridge. He allowed six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out two.
Smith, Teddy Kuhn, Spencer Gore, Hunter Paulson, and Spencer Santana each managed one hit to lead the Pacers.
Ahl went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Tigard in hits. Tigard didn’t commit a single error in the field. Rivers had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
